Outdoor Access Project
“When we started the Outdoor Access Project, we were stepping into the nonprofit world with very little knowledge of the process. Carol was an incredible guide from day one. She clearly explained how to structure and file the proper IRS paperwork, walked us through how to run a board meeting, and helped us understand the compliance side of running a nonprofit.
Her expertise and patience gave us the confidence to launch the Outdoor Access Project the right way. We’re truly grateful for her guidance and would highly recommend her to anyone starting or managing a nonprofit.

MISSION STATEMENT AND HISTORY
Outdoor Access Project is a Utah-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making the outdoors accessible for everyone. Founded in 2025, the organization was created with a simple but powerful belief: adventure is a human right.
We create life-changing experiences for wheelchair users through adaptive adventures, inclusive events, and trail leadership programs. From reaching a mountain overlook to crossing a finish line — or simply laughing in the sunshine — we’re here to prove that freedom knows no limits.
Our community is built from adaptive athletes, volunteers, and supporters who believe that access creates confidence, connection, and healing.
